Carlo Colombo is a composer, arranger, songwriter and pianist from Treviso, born in 1970, started playing the piano at the age of fourteen with the study of classical music.
Towards the end of the 80 starts as a keyboardist with the rock formations HSH BAND on 1989 a formation of experimental rock that has been successful in rock clubs and festivals of triveneto, he also won the first prize at the festival of independent video in Monza, sec. Video clips, with their song “Televideo”.
He was the pianist of the cabaret duo “Caffè Sconcerto” that took him around Italy in various shows. In parallel to the experimental rock and cabaret, Colombo continues to study piano and approaches to jazz thanks to a grant from the EEC won in 1992 that led him to a full-immersion four months studying with world-class jazz musicians such as Harold Danko, Mark Egan, Vic Juris, Elliot Zigmund, Ares Tavolazzi, Bruno Cesselli and others.In those years he begins to perform as a jazz pianist in many gigs and founded the “Carlo Colombo trio”, a trio consisting of piano, doublebass, drums and vocals that plays the classic italian swing: Buscaglione, Carosone,Conte others along with original songs that form the backbone of shows offered.
In 2002 he founded together with the DJ and producer Davide Benvegnù and bassist Filippo Tantino the electronic music group “Mind to beat” which publishes two discs.
Beginning in 2002 he published under his own name five albums, two of which with the label Drycastle Records of Arezzo. From 2013 to 2015 he is director and arranger of the project “Portobuffolè Swing Orchestra”, a small eight-piece band featuring swing dance.
In 2015 enters the composers team “Ping Pong”, finnish library of interactive music for games.
In the same year he composed the music and sound design for the game Vrasteroid produced by SpinVector Spa, for the same company he cares the sound design for the installation “Torre San Mauro” at San Mauro Forte-Matera, Italy.
Since 2016 he has joined the “Bat Meeting” video game development team as a creative, composer and sound designer.
In 2018 two songs from the album “Vai” are included in the soundtrack of two American films: “Sicilian Pizza” in the film “The Honor list” by Elissa Down and “Din don dan” in the movie “Book club” by Bill Holderman with Diane Keaton and Jane Fonda.
In 2019 he ranks first in the international composition and performance competition “Due sotto”.
In 2020 he composes the original music for the show “Sopravvivere agli anni 20′” in which he is also an actor and musician.
In 2021 he made his debut with the new theatrical show written and interpreted by himselves: Mili muoi – The exodus of mine.
